Locate+ Terms and Conditions

Connection Agreement - You and Spark will complete an Open Term Connection Agreement or 36 Month Fixed Term Connection Agreement (Starter, Advanced or Premium) for each unit that you wish to connect to the Spark network.

  • 36 Month Fixed Term Connection Agreement – applicable disconnection fees will apply if the agreement is cancelled early. You will lease each unit for the period it is installed in the vehicle and you will ensure the units are not connected to any other network. You will be fully responsible for any loss or damage to the units subject to manufacturer's warranty.
  • Open Term Connection Agreement - you can terminate the contract at any time by providing Spark with one month's notice. You will own the equipment and will be required to pay an upfront fee for each unit, as per the pricing table.

Excess data charges - each unit’s data allowance is 10 megabyte (10 million byte). Data usage for each data session is charged or allocated against your allowance in whole 100 byte packets, with part packets rounded up. Additional charges for any 100B packets over and above the allowance are charged at $1.00 per 1MB. Variable fees are invoiced in arrears and apply to excess usage charges, changes requested by you and call-out fees.


Moves, adds and changes and installation fees - Spark will provide a quote for the work involved and for any associated change to the fixed monthly charges. Upon receipt of your written acceptance of a quote, Spark and yourselves will arrange a mutually agreed time for the work to be undertaken. You will be contacted by one of our nationwide accredited installers. Our installer will organise a convenient time and location for the units to be installed in your vehicles. Standard installation fees are based on the vehicle being available for installation during normal business hours. Install fees are invoiced directly to you by an accredited installer Indicative pricing is $150 - $180 per vehicle if no additional work is required.

Internet Connection - all usual internet connection charges apply, for example for broadband, if you do not have an existing Internet connection which matches the minimum requirements for Locate+.

Locate+ Service - Spark may temporarily suspend or restrict the service during any planned or agreed maintenance period. Spark will try to give you at least five business days' notice of the planned maintenance that is likely to affect the service. Where practical, Spark will plan maintenance during the early hours of the morning, or at any other time that minimises disruption to your business.

Prerequisites - there is a minimum recommended specification for your PC to run Locate+.
