Set up Xtra Mail account recovery options

Know your Xtra Mail password, and want to keep your emails secure? Learn how to change your password and set up account recovery options in Webmail.

Set up Xtra Mail account recovery options

  1. Sign in to Webmail
  2. Select the menu icon. This looks like three lines stacked on top of each other. It's in the upper right corner.
  3. Select My account.
  4. Go to the Password and security tab.
  5. Select the account recovery options you want to set up:
    • Mobile number.
    • Recovery email address.
    • Security questions (there are three).
  6. To set up mobile number and recovery email address:
    1. Select the option you want to change, eg, mobile or recovery email address.
    2. Confirm your password.
    3. Type in your mobile number or email address.
    4. A four digit code will be sent to your mobile number or recovery email address.
    5. Type in the four digit code and select Confirm.
  7. To set up your security questions:
    1. Select security questions.
    2. Confirm your current password.
    3. Type in the answers to the security questions.
    4. Select confirm.

Note: To make changes to your account recovery options, follow the steps above. We recommend you set up all three account recovery options so you don't get locked out of your account.

Change your password

  1. You can change your password in Webmail. You can also change it here
  2. Select the menu icon. This looks like three lines stacked on top of each other. It's in the upper right corner.
  3. Select My account from the drop-down menu.
  4. Go to the Password and security tab.
  5. Select Change password under Password.
  6. Type in your current password, a new password and then type in your new password again to confirm it.
  7. Select Update.
  8. When you see the green confirmation message, select Back to inbox. This will be above Manage this email account.
