Cell site CCTV

Spark cell site CCTV cameras

Spark cell sites provide an essential lifeline connectivity service to communities around New Zealand.  To keep these lifeline services operating and Spark property safe, Spark has installed CCTV cameras at cell sites.

We may share footage from these cameras with Police and other law enforcement agencies if we believe it will help them investigate damage to Spark property, potential criminal activity, or actions that could put life or health at risk.

Monitoring and use of footage is carried out in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993.

Which sites have the cameras?

Sites with CCTV coverage are marked with a Spark CCTV notice.

Camera Operation

Only authorised Spark security personnel have access to the monitors.  Footage will only be used for the purposes stated above.

There will be regular evaluation of the operation and effectiveness of our camera systems.

Updates to this Policy

We may need to update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law and our practices.

We will provide you with two weeks' notice of any changes on our website. We encourage you to check this site regularly.
