Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now on Spark Account Terms

Who can purchase

1. To purchase a Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now subscription on your Spark mobile or broadband account, you must have an eligible Spark Broadband or Pay Monthly Mobile Plan (together “Spark Plan”) and use the services for your own personal use within New Zealand.
   
2. You can purchase a maximum of one Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now subscription per eligible Spark Plan, up to a maximum of five per Spark account. Each must have a unique email address (username).
3. Spark Business, Corporate and Enterprise business customers are not eligible.

Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now specific terms

4. Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now are for personal, non-commercial use only.
   
5. Sky Sport Now is only available through Spark when purchased with Spark Sport. It cannot be purchased separately through Spark.
   
6. The Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now subscription is available for purchase until 20 June 2021. If you have an active Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now subscription on your account on 20 June 2021, you may continue to rollover the Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now subscription at the monthly price for up to 12 months, provided that you are on an eligible Spark plan and you don’t suspend or cancel the Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now subscription during this period. If you do suspend or cancel your Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now subscription during the period 20 June 2021 – 20 June 2022, you will not be able to re-add it to your Spark account. 
   

Already a Spark Sport or Sky Sport Now customer?

7. Already a Spark Sport customer? If you have an existing Spark Sport account, you must link this to your Spark account by completing Spark’s activation process. Once the accounts are linked, you’ll receive a credit on your Spark bill within 60 days. This credit is to correct any double charges you incur from the time you’ve added Spark Sport to your Spark account and it will be calculated based on an average daily charge of $0.82 per day (this is the total maximum annual subscription charge/365 days).
8. Already a Sky Sport Now customer? If you have an existing Sky Sport Now account, you must link this to your Spark account by completing Spark’s activation process. Once the accounts are linked you will not be refunded for any overlapping period. For any queries regarding billing directly with Sky Sport Now please contact Sky Sport Now directly.

Billing

9. You will be charged for Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now on your Spark account from the date when you purchase through Spark (not from when you activate Spark Sport and/or Sky Sport Now). This is the case even if you are already buying Spark Sport and/or Sky Sport Now directly, and this means your billing periods may overlap. Your future payments direct to Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now will automatically switch off when you activate the services by completing Spark’s activation processes in MySpark unless you’re paying for Sky Sport Now via your Apple account. In this case you must cancel the service yourself before activating the service with Spark.
   
10. You will be charged each month on your renewal date until you cancel your Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now subscription or you are no longer on an eligible Spark Plan.
    
11. You will not be eligible for any free trials offered by Spark Sport or Sky Sport Now when purchasing directly from Spark.

Activation

12. To enjoy Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now, you will need to activate the service by completing Spark’s Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now activation processes. This process requires you to log in to your MySpark online account. If you don’t have a MySpark account, you must register for MySpark before you can activate. You will be charged from when you purchase Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now, so make sure you activate as soon as possible after.
    
13. If you don’t activate either Spark Sport or Sky Sport Now before your first monthly renewal date, the monthly renewal will be cancelled, and you will need to purchase it again. You will not be credited for any charges incurred.

Cancelling

14. You can cancel paying for Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now through Spark by logging into your MySpark account and clicking the cancel Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now button in the Get More –Sport section or by contacting Spark by phone or messaging us. This will cancel your Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now and you won’t need to cancel through the Spark Sport or Sky Sport Now websites or apps.  
15. If you cease being on an eligible Spark Plan, your Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now subscription will also be cancelled from the date you cease being on this eligible plan. 
16. If you cancel paying for Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now or cease being on an eligible plan part way through your renewal month, you will have access to Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now until the end of your current billing period and will not be refunded for a part month, but you won’t be charged for it again.

Exclusions

17. Where Spark Sport or Sky Sport Now offers one-off Pay Per View events these must be purchased directly from Spark Sport and cannot be purchased through Spark.

Watching content

18. Data usage incurred from watching Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now content will count toward your broadband or mobile data allowance.
19. Compatible device required, check Spark Sport and Sky Sport websites for information.

What terms apply

20. Your Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now subscription is subject to the Spark Sport terms of use and privacy policy and Sky Sport Now terms of use and privacy policy. However, your      purchase of a Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now subscription through your Spark mobile or broadband account is subject to Spark’s Personal Terms and also these terms you’re reading now (together the “Spark Terms”). If the Spark Sport and/or Sky Sport Now terms of use relating to billing, payments and cancellations conflict with the Spark Terms, the Spark Terms will apply.

Your personal information

21. Spark and Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now will use and share information in accordance with their privacy policies. Spark will share the name and email address registered to the Spark Plan with Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now. We might also share billing information with Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now. If an unpaid balance results in temporary or permanent credit disconnection with Spark, this will also result in disconnection of Spark Sport and Sky Sport Now.
