What is a Private APN?

A Private Access Point Name (APN) provides an additional layer of security and management for IoT devices when connecting between Spark’s cellular network and your business network or data centre.

How does a Private APN work?

An IoT device using a Private APN creates a secure connection between the device and your business network or data centre. When combined with RADIUS and network services, the device connections are authenticated and encrypted to ensure a secure and scalable connectivity solution.

Why use a Private APN?

A Private APN ensures device communications are segregated and secure; allows for easier monitoring and management of device connections; and assists in meeting your business security and compliance needs.
