With the World Economic Forum predicting that digital technology has the potential to reduce global emissions by 15%, adding that “Connectivity will be a key enabler for many, if not most, exponential climate solutions” how do New Zealand businesses use this to their advantage?

About Annabell Chartres

Partner, Sustainability and Climate Change Leader, PwC New Zealand.

As the partner that leads the National Sustainability and Climate Change practice at PwC New Zealand, Annabell is driven by finding innovative business solutions to address sustainability and climate change challenges. She is focused on supporting public and private sector organisations to incorporate a sustainability lens into their business strategies and consider and respond to the implications of climate change.

Annabell brings more than 20 years’ experience in corporate and business strategy development, operating model design and organisational transformation across a range of industries and geographies.

Annabell is also a member of the External Reporting Board’s advisory panel for the Climate-related Disclosures Project, which is setting the standards for climate-related financial disclosures for New Zealand.

About Vincent Heeringa

Venture Advisor at Climate VC Fund.

Vincent is an award-winning communications expert with 25 years’ experience in media and advertising. He has launched multiple brands, including Idealog and Good and been a co-founder of multiple awards programmes.

In 2011 he helped launch the NZ Innovator Awards and was also the founding chairman of the NZ Science Media Centre, he is a regular on TV and radio as a commentator on science, business and technology.

Vincent hosts the weekly podcast This Climate Business, which discusses how the climate crisis can be turned into opportunity.
