Give the gift of choice with a Spark Gift Card.

A Spark Gift Card is a card with stored value on it. You can use it to pay for purchases (excluding Spark modems) at any Spark store or on the Spark website.

• If you're buying something that costs more than the amount you have on your gift card, you can pay the rest using another form of payment.
• You can use your Spark Gift Card as many times as you like until the balance is used up. Your Spark Gift Card can’t be reloaded with more funds.
• You can use your Spark GIft Card as many times as you like, in separate transactions online, until the balance is used up. Your Spark Gift Card can't be reloaded with more funds. 

To use your Spark Gift Card in store:

1. Let the Spark advisor in the store know you want to pay with a Gift Card.
   
2. Swipe your Spark Gift Card through the EFTPOS terminal.
   
3. Select Credit as the account type.
4. Enter the 4-digit PIN. You’ll find this on the back of your card, under the scratch panel.

To use your Spark Gift Card on the Spark website:

1. At the payment screen, select Gift Card as the payment option.
2. Enter the gift card number from the back of the gift card.
3. Enter the 4-digit PIN. You'll find this on the back of your card, under the scratch panel.

You can't use a Gift Card to buy Spark modems. You also can't redeem it for cash, exchange it, apply it to your Spark account or use it to pay your Spark bill or top up your Prepaid balance.

Only one gift card can be redeemed per order transaction on the Spark website.

No, but you can keep using the card as many times as you like before its expiry date, until the balance is used up.

If you’re buying something that costs more than the balance you have left, you can use your Spark Gift Card as part payment for it and another payment method for the rest.

Yes. If your purchase is more than the balance left on your gift card, you can make up the full amount with any other type of payment accepted in our stores, such as cash, EFTPOS or credit card.

Online orders will only accept one gift card, with the remaining balance having to be paid with a credit/debit card.

If you’ve received a Spark in-store voucher from us, you can use it together with your Spark Gift Card in scenarios where your purchase meets both the in-store voucher terms and Spark Gift Card terms. This option is not available through the Spark website.

Your Gift Card expires 24 months after the date of issue, which you’ll find written on the back of the card.

If you buy a Spark Gift Card online, it will be couriered to you. It usually takes between one to three working days to arrive. Rural addresses can take up to five working days. To keep your gift card safe, you’ll need to sign for the parcel on delivery.

Click and Collect isn’t available for Spark Gift Cards purchased online.

You can buy as many Spark Gift Cards as you like, adding up to a total maximum value of $4,999.

For online orders, if you’re buying multiple gift cards and want them to be delivered to different addresses, you’ll need to complete a separate order for each shipping address.

We’re unable to replace, exchange or refund your Spark Gift Card if it's lost or stolen. You are responsible for keeping your Gift Card safe at all times – you should treat it like cash.

If your card is damaged, please take it into a Spark store and have it checked by one of our advisors.

These terms apply to all Spark Gift Cards. If you’ve received a Spark Gift Card as part of a promotion, additional terms may apply for that promotion.

1. Spark Gift Cards are redeemable for the purchase of goods at Spark NZ retail stores or the Spark website. Spark modems are excluded.
2. Spark Gift Cards cannot be applied to a Spark account or used to pay for Spark telecommunications, digital services or entertainment services.
   
3. Spark Gift Cards can be redeemed in whole or for part of a payment for goods bought in store or online. Unredeemed values will remain on the Gift Card until card expiry or until redeemed, whichever occurs first.
   
4. Spark Gift Cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash or be used towards the purchase of another gift card.
   
5. Spark Gift Cards cannot be replaced and Spark NZ will not be responsible for any gift card that is lost, stolen, or sent to an incorrectly entered delivery address.
6. No change will be given on purchases made using Spark Gift Cards, but the remaining balance may be used on subsequent purchases.
7. Spark Gift Cards expire 24 months from the date they are issued to the purchaser. Any remaining balance will be cancelled on expiry of the 24 month period and will not be refunded.
8. The maximum amount that can be loaded onto a single Spark Gift Card is $1,000.
9. A maximum purchase of $4,999 worth of Spark Gift Cards applies to a single transaction or series of related transactions. This means you may not purchase more than $4,999 worth of Spark Gift Cards across multiple transactions, including at different Spark stores.
10. Spark Gift Cards cannot be topped up with additional amounts.
11. A Spark Gift Card's balance, expiry date and last 10 transactions can be checked at giftstation.co.nz/spark
12. Spark may amend or update these terms and conditions at any time. We will do so by publishing updates to this terms and conditions page and such changes will automatically take effect. If a change will disadvantage you and it was within our control, then the change will take effect 30 days after it is published. 
13. The purchase, use and redemption of Spark Gift Cards is governed by these terms and conditions and other applicable Spark terms and conditions, including, but not limited to, Spark’s General Personal or Business Terms as applicable. View Spark terms
14. If we reasonably suspect fraud or other unlawful activity in connection with the sale or redemption of Spark Gift Cards, we reserve the right to refuse sale or redemption.
15. Spark Gift Cards are issued by Spark New Zealand Trading Limited.
