One of our Spark advisors can come to your house and set up your in-home connectivity. We'll connect your modem and devices to the internet, plus help you set up your MySpark account. We can also optimise your WiFi coverage and get your streaming services up and running. You'll be video calling friends and family or watching TV and sport over the internet in no time.

You'll need to have connected your broadband service and any home wiring you need first.

 

In-Home Setup offers

$69 Standard Setup


Only available for Spark broadband customers.

  • Set up your Spark broadband modem and get you connected to the internet.
  • Connect your devices through ethernet or WiFi.
  • Perform a speed test and/or test call your landline service.
  • Help you register for MySpark so you can manage your services and use self-service tools in the Spark app.

$149 Premium Setup


Available for anyone with broadband in an eligible area. A Premium In-Home Setup will suit you if you have multiple devices and services in your home network.

You'll get all the setup services in the Standard Setup, plus:

  • Personalise your WiFi settings.
  • Set up any streaming products or services such as Spark Sport, Google Chromecast or Apple TV.
  • Set up any WiFi extenders you've purchased through Spark.
  • Demonstrate and go through instruction manuals.

Your health and safety is important to us. Before we confirm a date and time for your In-Home Setup appointment, we'll ask you some health and safety questions.

Your In-Home advisor will explain how they'll operate before starting the work. The precautions they'll take at your home are:

  • Ensuring there's always at least a two metre distance between you and your In-Home advisor. Depending on how big your space is, this may mean they'll ask you and other members of your household to leave the room while they set up your devices.
  • Wearing a mask at all times.
  • Following Spark's safety protocols.

If you need to cancel an In-Home Setup you've booked, call us on 0800 4 SETUP (0800 473 887).

You'll need to give us your contact details and your Spark account number.

If you're a Spark customer, the charges will appear on your next Spark bill.

If you're not a Spark customer, first check your address to see if you're in an eligible area for an In-Home Setup. Then head to your nearest Spark store to book and pay for your In-Home Setup visit.

You can request a visit from a minimum of three days from the time of booking to up to three weeks in the future.

The appointments that are available for In-Home Setups will depend on the availability of the Spark advisors who look after your area. Appointments and the booking system won't be available over our Christmas shutdown period or on public holidays.

For Christmas 2021 the shutdown period is between 10 December 2021 and 9 January 2022.

Our Standard Setup is only available for Spark broadband customers.

If you're not currently a Spark customer, you can still book a Premium Setup. First check your address to see if In-Home Setups are available in your area. Then head into your nearest Spark store to book and pay for your In-Home Setup visit.
