Manage your Xtra Mail account

On the Spark help site, you'll find plenty of support to manage your Xtra Mail account.

Or, if you’re looking for some extra help to close, transfer or recover your Xtra Mail account, please follow these steps.

 

Further Xtra Mail account support

  1. Head to Xtra Mail and sign in.
  2. Select your profile initials in the top right corner and select My account. 
  3. Select Manage account from the options.
  4. Select Delete account and confirm you’d like to permanently delete your email account.
  5. Enter your Xtra Mail password and select Confirm.

Important: when closing your Xtra Mail, make sure any logins that use your Xtra Mail email as the primary email have all been updated to another email address. For example:·

  • Internet banking
  • IRD
  • Any organisations that send you electronic bills e.g. Utilities, Insurance, Telecommunications provider, Council, etc.    
  • Subscriptions e.g. Netflix, Spotify, Digital Newspaper, Magazines, etc.

And make sure to download any important emails before you close your account. Find out how to backup/download email inbox contents.

  1. Sign in to Webmail
  2. Select the My account icon in the top right corner. It's a circle with either a picture or initials in it.
  3. Select My account from the drop-down menu.
  4. Select the Manage Account tab.
  5. Select Transfer Account.
  6. Select Confirm.
  7. Enter the account number and a mobile or landline number from the account that you wish to transfer your Xtra Mail to.
  8. Select the confirmation check box and select Confirm.
  9. Enter your Xtra Mail password and select Confirm. 

To see all the Xtra Mail email addresses linked to your Spark account, simply follow the steps below.

  1. Sign in to MySpark
  2. Once signed in hover over ‘Products and Services’ on the top left.
  3. Select Xtra Mail
  4. You'll see the different email addresses listed.
