A Spark Gift Card is a card with stored value on it. You can use it to pay for purchases (excluding Spark modems) at any Spark store, on the Spark website or in the Spark app.

Gift Cards are valid for 24 months from the date of issue and can’t be reloaded with more funds. You can check your Gift Card balance, expiry date and last 10 transactions online at giftstation.co.nz/spark

If you've previously returned something you bought online with a Gift Card, your refund may be provided on a Digital Gift Card delivered to you by email. These work just the same, the only difference is that your Gift Card number and PIN are on the email instead of a physical card.

Using a Spark Gift Card

You can use your Spark Gift Card to pay for accessories and devices at any Spark store, on the Spark website or in the Spark app. To get some ideas, have a look at our range of accessories online. See Spark accessories

You can't use a Gift Card to buy Spark modems. You also can't redeem it for cash, exchange it, apply it to your Spark account or use it to pay your Spark bill or top up your Prepaid balance.

When redeeming a Spark Gift Card:

• If you're buying something that costs more than the amount you have on your Gift Card, you can pay the rest using another form of payment.
• You can use your Spark Gift Card as many times as you like until the balance is used up or it expires.
  
• Only one Gift Card can be redeemed per order transaction on the Spark website or in the Spark app.

Lost, stolen or damaged cards

We’re unable to replace, exchange or refund your Spark Gift Card if it's lost or stolen. You are responsible for keeping your Gift Card safe at all times – you should treat it like cash.

If your card is damaged, please take it into a Spark store and have it checked by one of our advisors.

Spark Gift Cards are available online or in Spark stores. Each Gift Card can have up to $1,000 loaded on it if you buy it in a store, or $400 if bought online. You can buy as many Spark Gift Cards as you like, adding up to a total maximum value of $4,999.

Spark Gift Cards can’t be returned, exchanged or refunded.

If you buy a Spark Gift Card online, it will be couriered to you. It usually takes between one to three working days to arrive. Rural addresses can take up to five working days. To keep your Gift Card safe, you’ll need to sign for the parcel on delivery.

If you’re buying multiple Gift Cards online and want them to be delivered to different addresses, you’ll need to complete a separate order for each shipping address.

These terms apply to all Spark Gift Cards. If you’ve received a Spark Gift Card as part of a promotion, additional terms may apply for that promotion.

1. Spark Gift Cards are redeemable for the purchase of goods at Spark NZ retail stores or the Spark website. Spark modems are excluded.
2. Spark Gift Cards cannot be applied to a Spark account or used to pay for Spark telecommunications, digital services or entertainment services.
   
3. Spark Gift Cards can be redeemed in whole or for part of a payment for goods bought in store or online. Unredeemed values will remain on the Gift Card until card expiry or until redeemed, whichever occurs first.
   
4. Spark Gift Cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash or be used towards the purchase of another gift card.
   
5. Spark Gift Cards cannot be replaced and Spark NZ will not be responsible for any gift card that is lost, stolen, or sent to an incorrectly entered delivery address.
6. No change will be given on purchases made using Spark Gift Cards, but the remaining balance may be used on subsequent purchases.
7. Spark Gift Cards expire 24 months from the date they are issued to the purchaser. Any remaining balance will be cancelled on expiry of the 24 month period and will not be refunded.
8. The maximum amount that can be loaded onto a single Spark Gift Card is $1,000.
9. A maximum purchase of $4,999 worth of Spark Gift Cards applies to a single transaction or series of related transactions. This means you may not purchase more than $4,999 worth of Spark Gift Cards across multiple transactions, including at different Spark stores.
10. Spark Gift Cards cannot be topped up with additional amounts.
11. A Spark Gift Card's balance, expiry date and last 10 transactions can be checked at giftstation.co.nz/spark
12. Spark may amend or update these terms and conditions at any time. We will do so by publishing updates to this terms and conditions page and such changes will automatically take effect. If a change will disadvantage you and it was within our control, then the change will take effect 30 days after it is published. 
13. The purchase, use and redemption of Spark Gift Cards is governed by these terms and conditions and other applicable Spark terms and conditions, including, but not limited to, Spark’s General Personal or Business Terms as applicable. View Spark terms
14. If we reasonably suspect fraud or other unlawful activity in connection with the sale or redemption of Spark Gift Cards, we reserve the right to refuse sale or redemption.
15. Spark Gift Cards are issued by Spark New Zealand Trading Limited.
