Set up and manage Netflix

Find out how to set up Netflix and what to do if you already have a Netflix account.

  • To get started you'll need to have a device you can watch Netflix on, for example, a mobile, computer or streaming device. Find more devices you can watch Netflix on
  • You'll also need to be on an eligible 12 or 24 month unlimited home broadband plan. To start using Netflix you'll need to sign in to MySpark. If you haven't used MySpark before, you'll need to register. You'll need your account number and line number to set up MySpark. Register now
  • When you've set up MySpark, sign in and follow the on-screen instructions. Sign in to MySpark

Manage your Netflix billing

If you set up a new Netflix account, or reactivated your Netflix through Spark, use MySpark to turn your Netflix billing through Spark on or off. Manage your Netflix account using MySpark

If you're unsure whether your Netflix account is being billed through Spark, use MySpark to check. If it's not billed through Spark, you'll need to manage your Netflix account directly through Netflix. You can also change your Netflix billing details or cancel your account through Netflix. Manage your Netflix account through Netflix

If you've already got Netflix and you pay for it with iTunes, Apple TV or Google Play

  • Once you've moved to an eligible Spark plan, you need to cancel your Netflix account. Take note of your next Netflix billing date when you cancel the account. Your next billing date will display when you cancel your Netflix with iTunes.
  • Even though you've cancelled your Netflix account, you can keep using it. Your Netflix viewing profile will remain.
  • On your next billing date, sign into MySpark and select the Activate Netflix button. The button will take you to the Netflix site where you can redeem your Spark credit.

Cancel your Netflix account through iTunes

  1. On the Home screen, select Settings.
  2. Scroll down and select iTunes & App Store.
  3. Select your Apple ID.
  4. Select View Apple ID. You may need to sign in.
  5. Under Subscriptions, select Netflix.
    • Don't see a Netflix subscription listed and still being charged? Make sure that you're signed in with the correct Apple ID. If so, you might have subscribed through Netflix and not through iTunes. This means you'll need to cancel through the Netflix website:

  6. Select Cancel Subscription from the bottom of the page.
  7. Select Confirm. Your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.

Cancel your Netflix account through Apple TV

  1. From the Netflix app, select Account from the Netflix menu.
  2. Select Cancel Streaming Plan under Plan Details.
  3. The iTunes Subscriptions page will open. You may need to sign in to iTunes.
  4. Select Netflix.
    • Don't see a Netflix subscription listed and still being charged? Make sure that you're signed in with the correct Apple ID. If so, you might have subscribed through Netflix and not through iTunes. This means you'll need to cancel through the Netflix website:

  5. Select Cancel Subscription.
  6. Select Confirm. Your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.
