An alias is an email address that is different to your main email, but still sends mail to your main inbox. Find out how to add an alias to, or delete an alias from, your Xtra Mail account.
What you need to know about aliases
- An alias is a different email address to your main email address, but it still sends emails to the same mailbox.
- You can use your alias and your main email's password to access your mailbox.
- If you get an email sent to your alias, any email addresses connected to your account will be able to see it.
- You can have up to five aliases attached to your Xtra Mail account.
Add an alias
- Sign in to Xtra Mail
- Select the My account icon in the top right corner. It's a circle with either a picture or initials in it.
- Select Create and manage aliases from the drop down list.
- Select the Alias tab.
- Select Create alias.
- Type in your new alias username and select Confirm.
You will see a green banner appear at the bottom of the page. This banner lets you know you've added the alias.
Delete your alias
- Sign in to Xtra Mail
- Select the My account icon in the top right corner. It's a circle with either a picture or initials in it.
- Select Create and manage aliases from the drop down list.
- Select the Alias tab.
- Select the X on the right of the alias you want to delete.
- Enter your Xtra Mail password and select Confirm.
You will see a green banner appear at the bottom of the page. This banner lets you know you've deleted the alias.
