Lessons from around the world - Leslie Shannon, Nokia

About Leslie Shannon

Head of Ecosystem and Trend Scouting, Nokia Customer Operations Transformation

Leslie joined Nokia in Australia in 2000 and has spent her career analysing how new technologies enable new behaviours and transform existing ones. Currently based in Silicon Valley, she’s the leader of team analysing and reporting on new technologies and disruptive trends affecting telco players from inside and outside the traditional telco world. She is passionate not only about bringing strategic insight to Nokia and its customers, but also about introducing successful new paradigms from Silicon Valley to the more traditional enterprise and telecommunications mindsets. Currently, she’s looking at how the telecommunications and IoT industries are responding to COVID-19 and where they’re finding opportunity, even in the midst of uncertainty.

Leslie has a BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia and a Master’s Degree in the History of Art from Yale University. She was an undefeated five-time champion in the American television game show “Jeopardy!” in 1992, and got four questions away from winning a million dollars on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” in August 2017. Leslie lives in Santa Clara, California, with her husband and their two mobile-data enthusiast children.
