Spark stores and Business Hubs at Alert Level 3

For locations at Alert Level 3, Spark stores continue to remain closed to the public until Alert Level 2.

However, some of our retail stores will be operating as contactless distribution centres.

This means these stores are closed to foot traffic but act as distribution sites. Customers can buy products and services online and book time for a no-contact collection from a nearby store.

Due to heightened safety requirements at Alert Level 3, payments will need to be made by contactless EFTPOS on collection or charged to customers’ accounts. Customers can also make purchases online with contactless delivery through our website. Note – there may be some delays with courier times.

Here is the process to use this service:

  1. The Spark customer contacts Spark's contact centre team on 123.
  2. This request is then sent to the customer’s closest distribution site.
  3. The team member working in that site contacts the customer to confirm the order and schedule a collection time.
  4. The customer then visits the store at the designated time with photo ID, held up to the window for the Spark team member to check.
  5. The Spark team member leaves the purchase in a bag outside the door for the customer.

To meet Alert Level 3 guidelines, not all stores will be operating as distribution centres. Customers who are not located near these centres but require assistance, can contact us in the following ways.

For the rest of the country, which is currently at Alert Level 2, Spark stores are open to the public, but opening hours may vary. For details on the operating hours of your local store, visit the Store Finder. View Store Finder

However, to keep our people and customers safe, and in line with the with the Government’s latest Alert Level 2 guidelines, stores are operating with additional safety protocols. These include

  • Mandatory contact tracing (either using the Government’s Covid Tracer App or manually providing your information to an in-store advisor to log a record with us)
  • Wearing of masks
  • Limiting the number of people in store
  • Maintaining social distancing and hygiene requirements.

Additionally, those customers who are feeling unwell with cold/flu like symptoms, or are currently being tested for, diagnosed with or have been identified as a close contact of someone with COVID-19, are advised to remain at home in isolation and may not be permitted entry to Spark stores.
