Secure your MySpark account with verification

Find out how to add, change or remove the security verification methods for your MySpark account.

Verification adds another layer of security to your MySpark account. When it’s turned on, you’ll confirm your identity each time you sign in.

Ways to verify

Verification code

A verification code adds another layer of security on top of your username and password.

There are three methods you can choose from to receive your verification code. It’s a good idea to set up all of them. Then you can choose which one you want to use when you sign in.

  • Authenticator app: This links your account with an authenticator app. The app will generate a single-use code for you each time you sign in.
  • Mobile number: We’ll text you a single-use code each time you sign in.
  • Email address: We’ll email you a single-use code each time you sign in.

Passkey

A passkey is the safest way to sign in. It works by using two digital 'keys' - one securely stored on your device and one with Spark. When you sign in using your passkey, the two keys pair up to confirm it's you. This means you won't need to enter your username and password when you sign in using a passkey.

To have a passkey, you’ll need to have at least one verification code method also set up.
