Top up my mobile

Find out the different ways to top up your Prepaid mobile.

You can use the Spark app to top up your mobile using a voucher, debit or credit card or set up auto top up or auto renew.

Top up your account (Prepaid)

  1. Select the menu icon to the bottom right of the screen. It looks like three lines stacked on top of each other.
  2. Select Top up.
  3. Select the mobile number you want to top up, and select Continue.
  4. Choose how much you want to top up by moving the slider left to right.
  5. If you want to top up an amount greater than $50, select Custom amount.
  6. If your top up is a one-off, select Top up. Type in your credit card details and you’re done.

Note: The billing cycle renews every four weeks (28 days). If you've got a Spark voucher, follow the same steps above. When you get to step three, select Voucher after Continue. Follow the instructions on screen.

Top up a different mobile

  1. Select the menu icon, which looks like three lines stacked on top of each other.
  2. Select Top up.
  3. Type in the mobile number you want to top up.
  4. Select One-off debit/credit card top up.
  5. Select the amount you want to top up. You can also select Other and type in a different amount.
  6. Select Top up using debit/credit card.
  7. Select Continue.
  8. Select OK on the confirmation window.

Buy pack or extra

  1. Select the menu icon to the bottom right of the screen. It looks like three lines stacked on top of each other.
  2. Select Buy pack or extra
  3. If you have more than one mobile number, select the number you want to buy the extra for
  4. Select the extra you want. You can buy data, texts and minutes on their own, or buy one of our value packs.
    • Note: Your last purchased pack will show at the top
  5. Select how you want to pay
  6. Select Next
  7. Follow the steps to pay using your chosen method
  8. Select Next.
  9. You'll get a text to let you know when your extra is ready. If you're a Pay Monthly customer, the cost of the extra will appear on your next Spark bill.

Set up auto renew

You can also set up an automatic renew. Follow the same steps as above. Then at step seven, you'll see more information on auto renew. Follow the instructions on screen.

Remove auto top up

  1. Select the menu icon, which looks like three lines stacked on top of each other.
  2. Select My account.
  3. Under the Auto top ups section, select Remove.
  4. Select OK.
  5. A confirmation window will appear. Select OK.

Set up auto renew

You can also set up an automatic renewal for extras. Follow the same steps as above. Then at step five, you'll see a white button next to Auto renew. Follow the instructions on screen.

Note: If your Auto Renew card payment fails your Value Pack or Extra will be put on hold for five days. You'll need to top up to complete the purchase of your Value Pack or Extra.

Remove auto renew

  1. Select the menu icon, which looks like three lines stacked on top of each other.
  2. Select My plans and extras.
  3. Select the value pack or extra that you've set up auto renew for.
  4. Select Remove auto renew
  5. Select OK.
  6. A confirmation window will appear. Select OK.

Change or remove credit card

  1. Select the menu icon, which looks like three lines stacked on top of each other.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Auto Top Ups.
  4. Under Credit / Debit card select Use a different card or Remove this card
  5. Follow the next steps.

 

You can use MySpark to top up your mobile using a voucher, debit or credit card or set up auto top up or auto pay. You need to sign in to MySpark if you haven't yet.

Top up

If you haven't used MySpark you register using your email address and account number. Register now

  1. Call *333 from your mobile.
  2. Select 1 for top up.
  3. Enter your mobile number.
  4. Select 1 to top up by voucher number.
  5. Enter your voucher number.
  1. Call *333 from your mobile.
  2. Select 1 for top up.
  3. Enter your mobile number.
  4. Select 2 to top up by credit or debit card.
  5. Enter the amount you want to top up from $10 to $100. The minimum is $10.
  6. Select 9 to confirm your amount.
  7. You'll go to a secure payment facility to enter your details.

Use the online top up form and pay by credit or debit card. Top up now

If you're a BNZ customer, you can use the BNZ mobile app to top up any Prepaid Spark mobile account.

 

  1. Select the menu, which looks like three lines stacked on top of each other.
  2. Select Top up.
  3. Select the account you want to pay from.
  4. Enter the mobile number you want to top up and and set the amount.
  5. Select Top up.
  6. Select Confirm.
  7. We'll send you a text to confirm your top up was successful.
  • Mobile credit expires 12 months after purchase
  • You need to top up at least once every 12 months so your Prepaid account isn't deactivated
  • Check your top up voucher's expiry date and upload the credit to your phone before that date
